A leading consultancy is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect to support a major payments transformation programme. This hands-on role focuses on designing scalable, secure payment solutions, leading architecture across platforms, and collaborating with various teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in the payments domain – card schemes, processing, or gateways.
• Proven background in technical and solution architecture across complex platforms.
• Comfortable working in Agile/DevOps environments.

Job description

A leading consultancy is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect to support a major payments transformation programme. This is a hands-on architecture role focused on designing scalable, secure, and modern payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across payment platforms

• Define architecture roadmaps and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams

• Deliver high-level and low-level designs for real-time and batch systems

• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and meet regulatory requirements

• Guide integration patterns and API design

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in the payments domain – card schemes, processing, or gateways

• Ideally familiar with Click-to-Pay and tokenisation standards

• Proven background in technical and solution architecture across complex platforms

• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)

• Comfortable working in Agile/DevOps environments

• Stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
