Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for delivering cutting‑edge solutions in safety‑critical environments? We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solution Lead to take charge of engineering delivery for Air Traffic Management Systems at a major airport. What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Proven expertise in system design, engineering solutions, and project delivery within safety‑critical environments such as aviation, aerospace, or military sectors.
• Strong knowledge of air traffic management systems or similar safety‑critical industries and familiarity with related safety and regulatory standards.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building effective relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
• Ability to interpret and develop technical requirements, ensuring solutions are fit‑for‑purpose, commercially viable, and supportable.
• Experience in managing project milestones, technical documentation, and compliance standards aligned with aviation authorities and safety management systems.
• Technical proficiency across a broad range of equipment and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise under pressure and solve complex problems logically and efficiently.

Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications

• ATSEP (Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel) qualification is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness regarding the impact of system failure on operations and customers.
• Experience working on safety‑critical electronic systems within aviation, rail, military, or similar high‑reliability environments.
• Knowledge of evolving aviation technologies and industry innovations.

Ideal Educational Background & Experience

• Higher National Certificate (Level 4) or SQF Level 7 in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or relevant Engineering discipline.
• Alternatively, extensive engineering experience demonstrated through apprenticeships, military service, or relevant transferable environments such as ATSEP or safety‑critical sectors.
• Significant hands‑on experience leading system design, implementation, and stakeholder collaboration within complex projects.

Additional Requirements

• Valid full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to engage in occasional travel related to project requirements.
