Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Shopfloor Support professional to join our dynamic team at Airbus. In this role, you will accompany the production team and the Autonomous Production Team (APT) to ensure smooth operations on the shopfloor. You will play a crucial role in identifying, analysing, and solving technical issues that are beyond the scope of Operators and First Line Managers (FLM). Your expertise will contribute to continuous production enablement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disruption Management: Identify and assess Non-Conformities (NC) on the shopfloor, support the creation and resolution of NCs, and follow up on the NC process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify production issues, escalate unsolvable problems, analyse industrial systems and processes, and support Work Improvement Proposals (WIP) and waste elimination (LEAN).
  • Industrial Assets: Request repairs, create specifications for new and existing jigs and tools, and ensure their calibration.
  • Work Order Management: Flag blocked work orders, prioritise execution of Serial and Rework Work Orders, and support production discussions at PPC/Level 2 meetings.
  • Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS): Ensure EH&S standards are applied, make EH&S rules transparent, and identify and solve Near Misses.
  • Quality: Ensure production and quality standards are applied on the station.
  • Logistics: Prioritise pulling materials related to Rework Work Orders to the respective executing station.

Key Deliverables

  • Technical analysis and enriched documents for Assembly Anomalies (AM) and Non-Conformities (NC).
  • Design Query Notes (DQN) for process and equipment issues.
  • Rework Work Orders and Parachevement Work Orders.
  • Technical information including drawings, references, parts, tooling, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a production environment.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
