Job description

A leading property consultancy is seeking to appoint a Technical Services Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to oversee a national portfolio of predominantly shopping centres. This is a key role requiring strong technical expertise, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to compliance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical management of a UK-wide portfolio, ensuring all building services and M&E systems are maintained to a high standard.

  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance across multiple retail sites, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and health and safety legislation.

  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers, ensuring performance aligns with contractual and operational expectations.

  • Support the delivery of capital projects and lifecycle works, providing technical input and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Drive energy efficiency initiatives and contribute to the wider sustainability strategy.

  • Prepare and present technical reports, audits, and performance updates to internal stakeholders and clients.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the property or retail sectors.

  • A strong background in mechanical and electrical services, with relevant technical qualifications.

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or working towards).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays as required.

  • Based within a commutable distance to Dartford.
