Job description

Randstad CP is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager for a leading Facilities Management company on site in Rochdale.

This pivotal role reports to the Contract Manager and requires maintaining up-to-date professional and technical competence to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the site team following company procedures and policies.
  2. Ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the site's M&E Plant and Equipment, Building Fabric, Site Infrastructure, External Works, Grounds, Transport, and Waste Services.
  3. Plan and control changes effectively.
  4. Research new technologies and methods to improve efficiency.
  5. Support a robust out-of-hours call-out system for all service lines.
  6. Implement controls to ensure reactive repairs to M&E systems, fabric, and infrastructure are completed correctly and meet contract requirements.
  7. Provide technical support to prioritize and delegate reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
  8. Ensure preventative maintenance is performed in line with schedules and industry standards.
  9. Advise the Account Manager on labor, holiday, and absence coverage.
  10. Procure and manage subcontractors, including induction and minor works.
  11. Monitor staff performance to meet and exceed client expectations.
  12. Manage budgets, financial planning, and invoicing.
  13. Assist in producing Contract Review Packs as per schedule.
  14. Audit quality documentation for compliance with standards.
  15. Ensure HR policies are followed, including managing grievance and disciplinary issues.
Experience Required:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum two years in a similar role or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of technical standards and business-critical services.
  • Experience working in a Blue-Chip environment.
  • Ability to formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments and method statements.
