A leading wealth management firm seeks a Technical Support Specialist to provide expertise to front office teams and external partners. The role focuses on delivering technical support and developing creative financial solutions for High Net Worth clients. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and experience in financial planning and tax legislation.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering technical knowledge and support to the front office, including QC Distribution, Financial Planners and Investment Managers and key external partners. The role holder:
Assists front office with technical queries (not directly with end clients)
Works closely with Proposition and Advice Standards to support the development of creative solutions that meet target client needs
Identifies opportunities and risks in legislation, tax planning and regulation in relation to financial planning for High Net Worth individuals
Develops and delivers presentations externally in conjunction or on behalf of the QC Distribution Team and the Head of Technical allowing the Distribution team to open new opportunities
Works with marketing to create content and thought leadership in technical matters to support the delivery of new business
Identifies and works with others to minimise risks to the business and maximise planning opportunities e.g. impact to a change in tax legislation
Works closely with technical experts within QC and across the Quilter Group to ensure a consistency of message and leverage skills and resources across the Group.
Travel to the regional offices and to events will be required as part of this role.
Consumer Duty
Whilst this isn’t a directly customer facing role, the duties you will perform will contribute to the overall positive outcomes for our customers by ensuring that our financial planners, distribution teams and investment managers have access to timely information on tax and technical matters, and by ensuring that we give considered technical guidance and support for propositional development that supports long term an often intergenerational planning that is appropriate for our target market clients and that facilitates clients understanding.

About YouProfessional qualifications – ideally Chartered (or equivalent)
Good financial planning, tax and trust experience in the UK marketplace relating to wealth management for High Net Worth clients
A strong bias towards retirement planning and understanding of pensions legislation.
Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting and translating complex tax and regulatory legislation, explaining historical regimes as well as the latest changes
Strong presentation skills
