Job description

Summary of Position

To preserve the integrity of all aircraft maintenance records presently housed within TAG UK facilities. This includes Sector Record Pages, Technical Logs, and all maintenance organisations and administered between TAG Europe and its Clients in relation to all CAMO actions and Part 145 activities thereby demonstrating compliance and protecting the value of the Client’s asset.

The post is responsible to the Senior Technical Services Engineer and/or Continuing Airworthiness Manager as detailed within the CAME however reporting when required to the Technical Director.

This role deals with all aspects of airworthiness functions in support of the TAG Aviation Operation. Associated tasks include those listed below for which the role will be expected to hold company approvals and develop understanding and capabilities across the department in support of other roles as the department continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities/Duties and Accountabilities

  • Enter and maintain records of all aircraft (Part MA 305) airworthiness docs, inc. Work files; aircraft; engine/APU logbooks (Part MA 306)

  • Liaison with Maintenance Planning and Engineering Departments in particular in respect of component configuration and status.

  • Support the performance of Airworthiness Reviews (ARC) process to ensure correct availability of back to birth records for Continuing Airworthiness

  • Perform QC Data checks of the various information’s which managed by the Technical records office and resolve any ambiguities, technical or other problems from Engineering, Operations and Crew.

  • Ensuring the correct compilation of Aircraft data and documents

  • Management and Control of Technical Records for operators or maintainers the need to ensure correct management and retention of technical records in paramount

  • Ensure that CAR M / Part M - MA305. The obligation is to update the continuing airworthiness records within 30 days of the maintenance activity. Coordinate with the Fleet Managers as required.

  • Administration of Technical Log Sector Record Page including quality control and data entry

  • Responsible for ensuring the maintenance tracking tool (CAMP, CMP) is updated regularly as required

  • Control and tracking of ADDs

  • Review and correction of total aircraft hours and landings in technical logs

  • Review and control of maintenance work packs and returns

  • Processing of incoming and outgoing aircraft records inventory, in terms of Maintenance Records and any other inventory

  • Review and control of Technical Discrepancy Reports

  • Assist in the maintenance of company procedures IAW regulatory and company requirements

  • Assist and track and assess compliance with AD’s/SB’s as it may be required and/or guided

  • Assist in the development, review, revision, and control of all Aircraft Maintenance Programmes

  • Ensure all AD and STC requirements have been captured and all ICA’s incorporated into the programme along with verification of the latest OEM documentation

  • Assist in the review, process and approve variations to aircraft maintenance programmes

  • Assist in the ongoing development and improvement and reliability programme including co-ordination of involvement with the regulatory authority

  • Assist the administration of maintenance tracking and other business software.

  • Assist the compilation and review of Technical Procedures associated with airworthiness activities

  • Assist and support development of Information Technology Projects for the Technical Department as it may be required

  • Assist and support the Conduct ARC Extensions/ACAM’s and C of A presentation as it may be required

  • Apply for and process requirements for flight permits, check flights, RIE’s and task variations

  • Undertake technical document assessment and inbound logbook review to a high degree of technical ability. This may as well happen at remote locations away from the principle base of operation.

  • Undertake processing of work packs and verification of the tracking system.

  • Assist the verification and check of the development of the MEL and author as necessary

  • Track and administer aircraft flight logs and update aircraft logbooks as required on the provided systems or equivalent for the specific aircraft

  • When required on your area, be instrumental and active in the support and the proactive closure of audit findings and implementation of root causes fixes

  • Technically assess, aircraft work packages and subsequent update of aircraft technical logbooks and take necessary actions to fulfil CAME requirements

  • Tasks associated with aircraft take on and departure as directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager or Technical Services Engineer

  • Provide assistance and/ or report as applicable to the Technical Services Manager, Continuing Airworthiness Manager/s and the Technical Director as it may be required

  • Discharge the responsibilities within the internal approval system as per the CAME processes and any updates therein shall also be a guide for this function
