Technical Services Supervisor— 1nd Shift
Hours:
M-F 8am - 4:30pm
Location: Chelmsford, MA
Pay Rate: $25+ (DOE)

Adecco Staffing is assisting a well-known medical device manufacturing facility in Chelmsford, MA, in their search for an experienced Technical Services Supervisorto join their 2nd shift operations.

Position Summary:
The Engineering Technician II will support operations, engineering, and materials teams across a variety of activities, including (but not limited to): receiving raw materials, controlling and maintaining inventories, maintaining and repairing production equipment and fixtures, assisting in the testing of finished devices, and participating in engineering projects as directed by management.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned engineering tasks as directed by management, including manufacturing process improvements, qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ), and CEA tooling acceptance.

  • Draft and route reports for the qualification of CEA tooling, process changes, and related activities.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to support on-site process improvement projects.

  • Utilize 3D modeling software to design, create, and maintain manufacturing tooling and fixtures.

  • Receive, inspect, and assure proper identification and status of raw materials during the receipt and testing process; store accepted materials in appropriate locations.

  • Execute required system transactions accurately and timely.

  • Monitor the condition of manufacturing equipment and fixtures; report any issues to minimize or prevent downtime. Perform repairs or adjustments when possible or remove equipment from production until repairs are completed.

  • Assist with or perform scheduled maintenance on machines and equipment.

  • Support testing and/or validation of new or modified equipment and fixtures as needed.

  • Conduct engineering studies as assigned, including building test samples per instructions provided by the engineering team.

  • Collect and record data during manufacturing or testing processes; report findings or any issues encountered.

  • Regularly interact with Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, and other team members to support manufacturing, materials, and engineering functions, while fostering a positive work environment.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, departmental procedures, and the Teleflex Employee Handbook.

  • Monitor inventory levels for maintenance parts and tooling to ensure adequate supply and availability.

Experience Requirements:

  • Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems knowledge, including troubleshooting experience, required.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; an associate degree in a mechanical or technical field , or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment .

Specialized Skills & Additional Requirements:

  • Strong English communication skills — both written and verbal — with attention to grammar, spelling, mathematics, record keeping, and data summarization.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and related software.

  • Basic understanding of 3D modeling software with the ability to learn additional software tools as required.

  • Ability to work with moderate supervision and adapt to rapidly shifting priorities.

  • Self-motivated with strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks according to business needs.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
