Cranswick Country Foods Poultry Prepared is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. We are proud to have opened a brand new, purpose built, breaded chicken factory and have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Technical team as Maternity Cover.

The key elements of the role are:

• Governance for development of site based procedures to ensure compliance to Cranswick Manufacturing standard, 3rd party accreditation standards and the legislative requirements.
• Participate in the investigation and documentation of responses to non-conformities.
• Governance of the site HACCP, Allergen, Integrity, and Internal Audit programs to provide robust food safety systems for the site.
• Governance of the interface between Technical and NPD and drive system improvement with site teams.
• Ensuring all teams are trained and training needs are identified.
• Keeping abreast of changes in technology, legislation and customer requirements. Ensure that the company is always fully conversant with the information and ensuring thorough gap analysis are completed on site. Using the right system to drive improvements across the site.
• Ensuring all specifications are in place, signed and up-to-date and factory specs/QAS are correct and easy to follow.
• Leads independent projects as and when the need arises and to drive continuous improvement through the site.
• Participate in the artwork approval, process design, validation and implement any additional system requirement process for all retailer and own brand packaging.
• Any other reasonable requests made by the Directors.
