Technical Service Delivery Manager

The SDM is responsible for contractual and commercial relationships with L&G clients and agencies. This role supports the team by coordinating activities, generating information, and resolving immediate issues. The SDM manages a cluster of geographically distributed sites, many without onsite FM staff. Proficiency in Hard and Soft services of facilities management and a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service to L&G and occupiers are essential.

Main duties are categorized into six key sectors:

  • Customer Communications
    • Manage contracts and relationships at site/portfolio level.
    • Interface with occupiers and stakeholders.
    • Deliver management reports and analytics.
    • Develop asset management plans.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and provide analysis and improvement plans.
    • Track and ensure objectives are met.
  • Commercial Activity
    • Manage portfolio P&L performance.
    • Forecast and reforecast budgets.
    • Deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Contract Performance Data
    • Manage MI and reporting data for the client.
    • Monitor supplier performance via scorecards.
    • Manage supply chain for service excellence and profitability.
    • Ensure KPIs are met and quality is maintained.
    • Improve service delivery and seek profit growth opportunities.
    • Manage resources including staff, fleet, and subcontractors.
  • Leadership and Contract Restructure
    • Foster a collaborative team environment.
    • Lead succession planning.
    • Ensure compliance culture.
  • Risk and HSQE Management
    • Conduct risk reviews and develop mitigation plans.
    • Review and improve HSQE activities.
  • Supply Chain Performance Management
    • Manage supply chain performance against Bellrock standards.
    • Drive improvements and share best practices.
What does it take?

  • Accountability for customer experience and occupier relationships.
  • Implementation of asset lifecycle plans.
  • Facilities management and H&S activity management.
  • Delegated authority for spending and budgets.
  • Ability to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Strong reporting and analytics skills.
  • Experience in occupier liaison and service management.
  • Facilities management background with at least 3 years’ experience and customer service credentials.
  • IOSH Managing Safety Certificate.
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel).
  • Experience managing third-party services.
  • Working towards IWFM Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in multi-site operations management preferred.
Working arrangements

We support flexible working. The role requires working from our London Paddington office two days a week, with the rest of the week remote.
