In our continuous journey of growth and innovation within the Maritime Team here at Carnival UK, we are seeking a Technical Controller to bring fresh insights and expertise to our department.
Role Overview
Work as directed by the Senior Technical Controller to assist Ship Managers, Superintendents, Ship’s onboard maintenance managers and liaise with a network of +1,000 international service providers as part of a team to coordinate and support the asset management of the fleet of 11 ships. This is under the P&O and Cunard world class brands in a 24/7, 365 day a year maritime environment. Organising and managing fixed fee contracts, planned maintenance and urgent reactive unplanned repairs in all areas of Deck and Technical. Involving Electrical, Engineering, Entertainment, Environmental, Maritime Standards, Projects, Refits, Security and Ventilation Maintenance to ensure the safety, statutory compliance and sustainability of the ships. Including management of logistics support for refits at dry dock and crisis management as part of the Carnival UK emergency response team.
Applying high standards of teamwork, organisational and prioritising skills, to ensure timely delivery of services to the ships whilst using commercial awareness to deliver cost effectiveness is essential for the role.
