Job summary

Sphere Digital Recruitment Group in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Technical SEO Manager to lead technical SEO strategies across a portfolio of clients. You will blend technical depth with client and account management to improve organic performance and commercial results.

You will conduct audits, migrations, schema work, Core Web Vitals, and international SEO, report insights to clients, and collaborate with account teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical SEO experience in an agency or consultancy.
• Experience across multiple client accounts.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with audits, migrations and complex websites.
• Proficiency with Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, GSC, GA4 and Looker Studio.
• Ability to translate technical issues into commercial recommendations.
• Understanding AI Search and LLMs in SEO.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO audits, health checks and website migrations.
• Improve crawlability, indexation and site architecture.
• Optimise Core Web Vitals and overall site performance.
• Develop and implement schema markup and structured data.
• Manage JavaScript rendering and technical diagnostics.
• Oversee international SEO across client portfolios.
• Analyse server logs and crawl data for optimisation.
• Create and execute technical SEO strategy and implementation.
• Monitor organic performance and identify opportunities.
• Present technical recommendations and insights to clients.
• Collaborate with account teams and other digital specialists.
• Leverage automation, AI and emerging search technologies for delivery.
• Support AI Search and LLM visibility strategies.
