Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Technical Security Consultant for a 6-month contract. This hybrid role focuses on delivering enterprise security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, with emphasis on threat modelling, architecture reviews, and secure DevSecOps practices.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with NIST/ISO/PCI controls, IAM technologies (SAML, OAuth, TLS) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI). This Inside IR35 contract promises diverse, high-impact security work.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in architectural security patterns/frameworks.
• 3+ years applied experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend solutions for future state architecture.
• Knowledge of application security, MITRE ATT&CK and Threat Modelling.
• Broad knowledge of controls in the industry (NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC, CSF, ISO27001, SABSA and TOGAF).
• Identity and Access Management (SAML, OAuth, certs, TLS).
• Identifying security flaws in solutions through threat modelling, architectural assessments and design reviews.
• Identity and Access Management, Data Leakage Prevention, Network and Infrastructure Security.
• Cryptography, Encryption and Key Management, Secrets Management, TLS, IPSec, Ciphers, X509.
• Application Security Design, DevSecOps, Agile practices, Shift Left concepts and automation.
• Experience delivering complex large-scale architectural solutions on cloud or hybrid environments and integration of cloud platforms into the wider enterprise.
• Thorough knowledge of traditional platform delivery approaches, technologies and op models, and major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP and OCI).

Responsibilities

• Deliver enterprise cybersecurity solutions and controls for complex architectures.
• Evaluate current and emerging technologies to inform future state architecture.
• Identify security flaws through threat modelling, architectural assessments and design reviews.
• Support cloud/hybrid deployments and integration of cloud platforms into the wider enterprise.
• Apply encryption, key management, secrets management, TLS and related security controls.
