Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Technical Security Architect to design, develop and maintain security architectures across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments. This hands-on role leads security tool refresh and evergreen programmes, delivering detailed designs and integration patterns while guiding delivery teams.

You will work with IAM, network, cloud and secure platforms, applying Zero Trust and threat-informed design principles to meet client security requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive background as Technical Security Architect, Security Architect or Senior Security Engineer.
• Strong hands-on expertise across IAM, network security, cloud security and secure platforms.
• Experience delivering security technology refresh, migrations or modernisation programmes.
• Proven AWS/Azure/GCP security architecture experience.
• Ability to produce detailed technical architecture docs.
• Solid understanding of threat modelling, risk and security architecture principles.
• Experience in complex, regulated or accredited environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team and senior stakeholders.
• CISSP (or equivalent) and TOGAF and/or SABSA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver security architectures across cloud, on‑premise, hybrid and air‑gapped environments.
• Create high/low level designs, architecture patterns and data-flow diagrams.
• Lead security technology refresh and evergreen programmes (IAM, PAM, firewalls, EDR/XDR, SIEM, cloud security).
• Evaluate technologies via PoCs/PoVs and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Design and review cloud, identity, network, perimeter and platform security solutions.
• Apply Zero Trust and defence-in-depth principles; align with standards like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, NCSC.
• Act as a security design authority and guide implementation teams.
• Collaborate with enterprise, infrastructure, network and application architects to embed security.
• Support accreditation, risk assessments and client security reviews.
• Monitor threats and opportunities to simplify and improve security estate.
