Job summary

ABB in Coventry is seeking a technically skilled professional to support the Sales organisation by delivering expert advice on ABB products and applications in electrical systems. The role involves analyzing enquiries, proposing cost-effective solutions, and supporting technical training.

The candidate will contribute to the Installation Products Division within the UK Electrification Business Area, with a focus on grounding, lightning, cable protection, wire management, and connectivity

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience providing technical solutions in electrical engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Offer technical advice on enquiry specifications for ABB products and applications.
• Provide technical support during meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
• Perform analytics to determine the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.
• Deliver product and solution training and assist in publishing technical articles.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organisation and its customers indeterminingthemost technicallyappropriateand cost-effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will alsoshowcaseyourexpertiseby preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology.

This role is contributing to the Installation Products Division in the UK Electrification Business Area, specifically aroundearthing andlightning,cable protection systems,wire and cable management andconnectivitysolutions.

Main stakeholders you will engage with will be ABB Electrification’s customers and supporting our local external sales teams.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales EngineersregardingABB’s products/systems/applications.
• Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
• Performing analytics and diagnostic studies todeterminethe most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs; and proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.
• Delivering product and solution related training; and supporting the managers in preparing and validatingthe technical articles to publish.

Qualifications for the Role

• You are highly skilled in offering technical support withearthing andlightning,cable protectionsystems ,wire and cable management andconnectivity solutions.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Electrical standards
• You are passionate about providing a first-classexperience to the customer
• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and have a demonstratedtrack recordin providing technical solutions
• You are at ease communicating in English
• You hold a current driving licence valid in the UK
