For the UK market we are looking for a TECHNICAL SALES PROMOTER to train, sell and support our REFINISH BUSINESS in the market, working with Regional Sales Managers covering technical support, by means of end user and distributor training and technical sales.

The new employee will report to the Technical and Training Manager, joining a team of 4 other Technicians on field.

Key responsibilities:

• Travel to customer/distributor sites to solve problems, coordinate project works or implement technologies
• Train painters for new installations at customer facilities
• Troubleshoot on-line and on-site technical problems
• Advise customers of product line changes and improvements
• Train customers on product knowledge and application methods
• Handle customer complaints within lines of authority and manage process to resolution
• Sell system benefits, process efficiency and new products to distributor staff as well as end users in bodyshops
• Maintain contact with laboratory on current technical issues
• Support laboratory, when required, in evaluation of samples
• Provide correct technical information on projects to technicians, chemist/engineers, customers or other groups as required
• Communicate competitive information, new products and selling issues to organization
• Support specification/product recommendation approval process
• Assist customers in preparing coating specifications to meet product applications
• Contribute to the territory market development plan
• Identify potential problems and work with the managers to resolve
• In conjunction with managers, develop, recommend, and implement solutions related to own or other projects
• Attend coatings seminars and trade shows
• Assist customers with product inventory control/re-ordering

Skills and Experience:

Competent refinish painter with previous experience in a technical and/or training role for a paint company or distributor, being field based.

Must possess good communication skills, quick and independent problem-solving, high flexibility and willingness to travel.

Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office.

MUST POSSESS FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE
