About the Role:

The Technical Sales Manager position at GVA Lighting reflects the company’s commitment to expanding and sustaining the current sales growth in the UK. We are seeking an exceptional individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for driving success. As an experienced Technical Sales Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the company’s sales strategy, turnover, and profit targets.

This role offers a mix of office, home, and fieldwork, where you will meet clients both in the UK and potentially overseas. You will become a key point of contact for our customers, representing GVA Lighting in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the Director of Global Sales of GVA Lighting Europe.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the sales strategy of the business.
• Meeting the yearly sales budget.
• Presenting the strategy and progress at the monthly management meetings
• Drive sustainable business growth.
• Meet targets and KPIs.
• Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers and other key contacts.
• Successfully implementing the business plan and strategy of the company.
• Build a high level of knowledge on the GVA product range.
• Understand GVA capabilities and what makes us different in the market.
• Continue our reputation for providing great technical advice and solutions to our customers.
• Present our product range to new and existing customers.
• Keep our products at the forefront of our customers minds.
• Listen to customers feedback on our products and relay this back to the design team.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and potential competitors
• Work solely for GVA Lighting promoting our products.

Qualifications:

• Experience at Sales Engineer level.
• Strong lighting industry knowledge.
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth.
• High self-motivation and a demonstrated ability to get the job done.
• High commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate and agree terms at all levels.
