Job description

Noodle Talent Partners are delighted to be exclusively supporting a growing Manufacturing business in recruiting a Technical Sales Manager to join the team on a Permanent, full time basis.

This is a remote role which will require frequent weekly travel to see clients in the UK, focusing on the Southern and Eastern regions.

This will be a proactive role where you will have key budgets and targets to meet through development of sales from both new (70%) and existing customers (30%).

The role

  • Build strong relationships with customers through in-person client meetings, problem solving and addressing any customer issues whilst presenting appropriate solutions to maximise customer satisfaction and optimise revenue opportunities
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service standards at all times
  • Proactively source and develop new customers through market research and new business development activities (cold calls, meetings- in person & virtual, along with email management), identifying decision makers and building new relationships, providing quotations in line with needs
  • Following up and converting leads
  • Demonstrate technical expertise of WasteWater Treatment solutions through a consultative approach and understanding of customer needs, promoting solutions and outlinining features & benefits
  • Maintain a strong understanding of your customer base, managing customer spend, monitoring buying activity and identifying opportunities.
  • Tracking all sales activity using the CRM system for accurate sales & forecast management
  • Build solid knowledge of the product range through detailed undersanding of product descriptions, attending industry events & seminars, and networking accordingly, exploring opportunities to add products and continuous improvement to product ranges
  • Maintain awareness of the market, monitoring competitor activity and trends, identifying opportunities through customer competitor activity and reporting to management
  • Ensuring effective marketing campaigns and technical support structures are formulated and implemented

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 5 years Technical Sales experience, preferably within the Waste Water treatment or transferable industry (e.g Utilities, Total Waste Management, Environmental Waste Management etc)
  • A proactive hunter approach to seek out sales opportunities from both new and existing customers
  • Technical and consultative sales ability, understanding customer individual needs and provide technical quotations on products
  • Clean UK Driving licence
  • Proficient IT skills- Microsoft Office, Navision (or experience with another CRM and willingness to learn)
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, ability to self manage and coordinate own workload
  • Enthusiasm and high levels of self motivation with a drive to deliver results
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable- Qualification within either Evironmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Biology or Chemisty
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills to make calculatations and produce professional proposals & correspondence.
