Technical Sales Manager Industry & Infrastructure
We are seeking a technical sales professional to develop the industry & infrastructure market for Roxtec in the south of England. The role involves engineering specifications with leading industry design companies, as well as engaging with owners and contractors involved in operating and constructing projects in our target markets and applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and target industry & infrastructure companies (rail, advanced facilities, pharma, telecoms, construction).
- Develop our brand and generate specifications to boost sales in targeted applications.
- Identify, quantify, and target industry & infrastructure projects, focusing on key decision makers (owners/operators, engineers, contractors, resellers).
- Develop business from initial contact to client-approved specifications.
- Search for new clients who can benefit from our solutions and support.
- Maintain existing client relationships.
- Attend industry events and forums to network and find new opportunities.
- Present Roxtec solutions to specifying engineers through technical presentations, site visits, and training.
- Drive sales growth by gaining engineering specifications and providing support throughout project lifecycles.
- Create and execute targeted sales plans.
- Identify resources needed to meet sales objectives.
- Promote Roxtec Core Values within the company and industry.
- Manage customer contacts and meetings via CRM system.
- Provide market insights, forecasting, and product planning information to management.
- Offer pre-sales technical advice and design input for bespoke products.
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent; industry experience may be considered in lieu.
- Successful sales record, especially presenting complex/technical solutions to decision makers.
- Existing relationships within owner/operators, engineering, contracting, and design firms.
- Knowledge of civil construction, electrical, controls, automation, or mechanical systems in target sectors.
- Strong understanding of industrial sales practices and ability to develop and execute sales plans.
- Experience in business development and prospect engagement.
- Ability to use industry news and project databases to identify opportunities.
- Excellent networking and communication skills.
- Proven ability to present solutions and manage complex sales projects.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as needed.
