On behalf of our manufacturing client based near Antrim, Energis is currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager.

As a Technical Sales Manager you will play a key role within the sales team liaising with customers, suppliers and colleagues to ensure the successful growth of the company product range and helping to develop new and existing products.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the sales team to drive sales growth by leveraging technical expertise and understanding the customers’ needs.
  • Understand and effectively communicating the technical aspects of products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, architects, designers, and contractors to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production & procurement teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Support and work with internal sales team to ensure quotes, information, drawings, specifications etc are returned on time to the Sales Office Manager.
  • Analyse and assess market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal sales teams regarding product specifications and applications.
  • Show initiative & involvement in product development for new products in new & existing markets.
  • Develop CAD drawings for customers and manufacturing requirements liaising with tool room.
  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote our products and expand professional networks.

Criteria:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience of selling through construction industry supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to make changes on AutoCAD
  • Access to a vehicle for company travel.
  • 3rd Level Qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related field is highly desirable

Salary on offer is in the region of £40-55k depending upon experience. Benefits include bonus, healthcare scheme and pension.
