Projects (Medical Focus) | Redbourn, St Albans | £60k + Car + OTE £30k

I'm currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager to join a leading provider of construction and refurbishment services across the UK, specialising in technically complex projects within live hospital and healthcare environments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who thrives in a commercial, client-facing role.

The Role

You will lead the development and conversion of project opportunities across hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare facilities. Combining technical expertise with commercial acumen, you'll deliver solutions that meet client requirements, build confidence in delivery, and secure profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the healthcare sector.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, medical suppliers, and consultants.
  • Develop and deliver proposals, bids, and technical sales presentations.
  • Translate complex client requirements into compliant, practical technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to scope, price, and resource projects.
  • Provide account management to key clients and support project handover.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background in M&E projects, ideally in healthcare or medical environments.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development within construction, engineering, or FM services.
  • Experience delivering or selling projects in hospitals or laboratories.
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards and compliance requirements (HTM/HBN).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of medical equipment installations (imaging, operating theatres, clean rooms).
  • Existing healthcare sector client relationships.
  • Degree or HNC in Engineering, Building Services, or related technical discipline.
