Salary: Up to A GBP 45,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus

Are you an experienced Technical Sales Manager with a passion for new business development? Do you have expertise in industrial coatings or a solid understanding of coatings and their markets? If you thrive in a field-based sales role and have a track record of securing and growing accounts, we want to hear from you.

The Role

As the Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across the Midlands and Southwest territory. You'll be managing and expanding an existing customer base while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities within key industries. This is a field-based role requiring a self-motivated and results-driven individual who excels at building long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities within the industrial coatings sector.
  2. Meet and exceed revenue and new business targets.
  3. Conduct face-to-face client meetings, product presentations, and demonstrations.
  4. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  5. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including technical and account management teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  6. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
  7. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity via the CRM system.

About You
  1. Proven experience as a Technical Sales Manager in a field-based role.
  2. Able to demonstrate experience within a B2B sales environment.
  3. Background in industrial coatings is highly desirable, but candidates from related industries with coatings knowledge will be considered.
  4. Strong new business development skills with a proactive and driven approach.
  5. Excellent relationship-building and account management abilities.
  6. Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills.
  7. Able to manage a territory effectively, prioritising leads and opportunities.
  8. Full UK driving licence essential.
