Job summary

TÜV SÜD in the UK is seeking a commercially minded engineer with sales exposure to join the Transport TIC team. You will work with our technical experts to respond to customer requirements with tailored compliance services across a broad portfolio.

The role requires an engineering or technical background, EMC/telemetry knowledge is a plus, and a willingness to travel UK-wide. A proactive, results-driven communicator will thrive in this dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical background is required.
• Experience in TIC industry or product qualification using laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of Transport market sectors: Defence, Aerospace, Marine, rail, etc.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
• Ability to translate technical information into commercial proposals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers via face-to-face or MS Teams meetings.
• Evaluate enquiries and provide technical quotations or proposals.
• Plan sales activities, manage opportunities and report pipeline.
• Load inquiries onto the CRM system.
• Identify and propose solution-based packages from TÜV SÜD's portfolio.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing and project managers on direction and pricing.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and ensure high service standards.
• Seek efficiency improvements and attend training to develop knowledge.
• Attend events and campaigns to build contacts.
