Job summary

PIP Lift Service Ltd is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing Sales Department, covering London and the South East. The role involves surveying existing lift installations, developing technical solutions and preparing quotations for repairs, replacements, and modernisations.

You will review specifications, obtain supplier quotations, prepare project costings and identify technical requirements and risks.

Qualifications

• Experience in lift industry and surveying installations.
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or EOR202 (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of traction, MRL and hydraulic lifts.
• Good understanding of lift repairs and modernisation works.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous technical sales or estimating experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Technical Sales Engineer – Lift Industry

PIP Lift Service Ltd is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing Sales Department, covering London and the South East.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will survey existing lift installations, develop appropriate technical solutions and prepare quotations for a range of works including repairs, component replacements, partial and major modernisations, refurbishments and full lift replacements.

The role will involve reviewing specifications and tender documents, obtaining supplier quotations, preparing project costings, identifying technical requirements and risks, attending client meetings and working closely with our Sales, Service and Major Works teams.

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous lift industry experience
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or EOR202 (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of traction, MRL and hydraulic lifts
• Good understanding of lift repairs and modernisation works
• Ability to survey installations and develop technical solutions
• Good commercial, communication and organisational skills
• Knowledge of relevant lift standards and regulations
• Full UK driving licence

Previous technical sales or estimating experience would be beneficial, although we would also welcome applications from experienced lift engineers looking to progress into technical sales.
