We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer for the Defense Market, reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager.
The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to sales, building trusted relationships with clients, and acting as the interface with local technical support teams within the business units.
Main responsibilities include working closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, presenting tailored technical solutions, conducting technical demonstrations, addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, and supporting sales during new opportunity explorations. Collaboration with internal teams such as Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and product managers is essential to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
The role requires in-depth knowledge of the defense market, relevant applications, equipment, and a strong understanding of the company's products and technologies. It is a cross-functional role covering all group entities, with an emphasis on identifying synergies and engaging with customer organizations interested in the group's technologies.
Your missions will include:
The Profile
Ideal candidates will have a dual engineering/commercial background with over 10 years of experience, particularly in Radio Frequency and Optical connectivity technologies.
English native speaker; French language skills are a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, with willingness to travel at least 30% for customer meetings and opportunities.
This is a hybrid role, requiring flexibility to work partly remotely and from the office, ideally based within the Home Counties.
