To strengthen our Coding & Marking Division in the UK we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer– Hitachi Coding and Marking Solutions

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities:

  • The role is to manage a customer base within the UK and develop and grow sales of Hitachi/Telesis product, coding and verification solutions at existing and new customers.

  • The Technical Sales Engineerwill be responsible for attracting customers for Hitachi/Telesis coding and marking solutions, to build a pipeline of projects and to win those projects. The priority will be to sell Telesis solutions at a first step.

In detail the responsibilities are:

  • Gaining a deep and thorough knowledge of the products – starting with the Telesis products – and being able to present effective product demonstrations at customer sites or at the Telesis base.

  • Effectively communicating with customers/prospects with the aim of selling them the most effective solution for their requirements.

  • Managing and developing existing customer relationships.

  • Research into customer segments and customers best suited for our solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for Hitachi/Telesis coding and marking solutions and build up a project pipeline.

  • Following of a sales and forecasting process for projected marking and coding solutions.

  • Collaborate with the worldwide Hitachi Coding and Marking Team and provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, competitors’ position and depth of customer base to translate these into product specifications.

  • Self-motivated and willing to work hard, to constantly improve and to make all efforts for the success of the company.

  • Able to work in an environment in which pre-agreed goals, budgets and objectives are important.

  • Willing and interested to travel as required.

  • Have aptitude for machines and mechanical processes. Experience with CMM (Co-ordinate Measuring Machines) or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machines would be a suitable relevant experience.

  • Have experience in sales of technical products in an industrial environment.

  • Have strong collaborative skills to work with teams both small and large (sales, service/technical and administration)

  • Have very good accuracy and strong written and verbal communication skills and strong IT capability including Microsoft 365 and CRM reporting tools
