Technical Sales Engineer

Based in Antrim covering Ulster region

Our client is a trusted distributor of world-leading compressed air systems and solutions to some of the largest manufacturers in Ireland.

To support growth in their business, we are looking for a technically minded, driven sales professional to join the team, managing and developing customer relationships, promoting their range of compressed air products and services.

Fantastic role for someone with a technical/ engineering knowledge who like to progress their career in a sales role

Competitive salary + commission, company car, fuel card

Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm

The Role

  • Managing an existing customer base and develop customer relationships
  • Identify new business leads and opportunities
  • Selling capital equipment, service contracts and system solutions
  • Pro-active approach using various sales methods phone based, face to face, email, marketing etc.
  • Identify and understand customer needs, recommending suitable products and services
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor knowledge
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM and sales tools

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in a technical environment
  • Engineering or technical background is beneficial
  • Capital equipment sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills and a willing to learn new systems
  • Highly organised with strong time management
  • Ability to learn technical products, understand customer needs and sell right solutions
  • Full Driving License
