An established manufacturing business is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to promote and sell innovative products to both new and existing customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced or recently qualified engineers, focusing on providing technical sales services and solving design challenges. The ideal candidate will have a recognized engineering apprenticeship, strong communication skills, and proficiency in 3D design tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship required; HNC is desirable.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in 3D design tools.

Provide Technical Sales Service to Customers.
Solve Design Problems and prepare costings and quotations.
Design GFX Slide Systems and Aluminium Frameworks.

Good telephone manner

Written communication skills

Confidence with video conferencing

Time management

Aptitude for machine mechanisms

Good Maths skills

Good English skills

Competent in SolidWorks

Competent in AutoCAD

Microsoft Office proficiency

Are you an experienced or recently qualified engineer, looking for an opportunity as a Technical Sales Engineer? Are you looking for a new opportunity and would like to join an established, successful manufacturing business?

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, this exciting and interesting development opportunity will focus on the promotion and sale of products to prospective new and existing customers.

The Successful Candidate

Should have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship; ideally to include HNC but we can offer further training as required.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Good telephone manner along with written communication skills
Confidence with using video conferencing/digital meetings
Organised with understanding of time management
An aptitude for the workings of machine mechanisms would be useful
Good Maths and English skills
Competent user of 3D design tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Good skill base across the full range of Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

Providing a Technical Sales Service to our Customers
Dealing with customer enquiries, by telephone and digital meetings where required
Solving Design Problems and providing new design solutions
Checking and validating applications, preparing costings and quotations
Designing GFX Slide Systems, Gantries, Aluminium Frameworks and other products to suit the specific requirements of an application.
Assist with enquiries from our factory, when building these design systems.

Normal working hours & shift patterns?

08.30 - 17.00 (With flexibility to support our external customer and distributor network)
