THE ROLE

As part of ongoing business growth, our client has immediate openings for an experienced sales professional with technical knowledge of industrial information and communication technology, ideally within Automation and IoT markets.

They are also open to junior sales executives or technical support engineers looking to transition into a sales-focused role, with full training provided for those moving into technical/sales positions.

This role is office-based, five days a week, at the Redditch location, and candidates should ideally have access to a car due to the office location.

THE PERSON

  • At least 12 months of experience in a technical or inside sales role, with a proven track record of expanding existing accounts
  • Ability to drive product and technical service sales within an existing customer base and generate new business through appropriate channels
  • Skill in qualifying positive leads through structured conversations and identifying client needs using industry-related analysis techniques, including qualifying target companies and identifying key contacts across relevant industries
  • Ability to act as a liaison between key clients and internal teams, including technical support, sales, and finance
  • Experience in managing requests for quotes, including pre-qualification, negotiation, follow-up, and order confirmation
  • Technical understanding of industrial information and communication technology within Automation, IT, and OT markets (highly desirable)
  • A proactive, self-driven team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences
