Job summary

CIRCOR International is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer at Hale Hamilton (Valves) Limited for its Uxbridge site in the Greater London area. The role focuses on preparing technically accurate, commercially competitive quotations for pneumatics and hydraulics systems, valves and related equipment.

You will work closely with customers and internal teams to develop solutions meeting technical and commercial needs, with a full-time onsite schedule Monday–Thursday and Fridays off.

Qualifications

• HNC in mechanical/electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience in technical quotations, estimating, applications engineering, technical sales, or a similar commercial role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Industry experience in Defence, Oil & Gas, Flow Control, Marine or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in ERP (IFS), CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of flow control, valves, actuators, or related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations in line with customer requirements and timelines.
• Review quotations and costs to improve accuracy for future bids.
• Collaborate with Business Development to create compliant, cost-effective solutions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for pricing, lead times and delivery requirements.
• Support tender submissions and manage complex enquiries.
• Maintain quotation records and pricing databases.
• Assist Quotations Team Lead with departmental operations and compliance.

Your responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations in line with customer requirements, company policies, and agreed timelines.
• Review historical quotations and actual project costs to improve current and future quotation accuracy
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop cost-effective, technically compliant solutions and assist with technical queries, identifying technical deviations, exclusions, assumptions, and alternative solutions
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain technical and commercial information, pricing, lead times, and delivery requirements following up as required
• Support tender submissions and manage larger or more complex customer enquiries
• Maintain quotation records, pricing databases and other commercial documentation
• Support the Quotations Team Lead in ensuring the efficient operation of the department, including administrative activities and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Your qualifications:

• HNC in mechanical/electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• Proven experience in technical quotations, estimating, applications engineering, technical sales, or a similar commercial role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Industry experience in sectors such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Flow Control, Marine, or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as ERP systems (IFS), CRM Systems, Microsoft Office
• Strong experience in flow control coupled with knowledge from either the valves, actuators, flow control, process equipment, or instrumentation industries
• Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse costs, pricing structures, margins, and profitability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work within demanding deadlines
