Job description

Commercial/Office Division

My client based in Bicester is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their friendly team, assisting the Sales and Technical Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing and delivering sales and technical presentations and demonstrations of our products and services.
  2. Aiding and advising our sales team.
  3. Generating sales leads, negotiating prices, and completing sales.
  4. Assisting customers with installation queries and product issues.
  5. Achieving individual sales quotas and team sales goals.
  6. Training non-technical sales team members.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  1. NVQ level qualification in engineering is desired, but not essential. Previous work experience will be considered.
  2. Proven experience in technical sales and customer account management.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on increasing sales revenue.
  5. Outstanding problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills with experience in building effective customer relationships and resolving customer issues promptly and satisfactorily.
  6. Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
  7. An ability to relay technical information to non-technical clients.
  8. Good team working and leadership skills.
  9. Knowledge and working experience of Microsoft Office programs and ERP/CRM database experience is desired (training on company ERP/CRM will be provided).
  10. Full UK driving license.

The role is UK based with most travel being domestic but may, from time to time, require some international commitments.

The role is office based, and you will be supplied with a company vehicle.

Working Hours: 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4pm on Friday.

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 dependent on skills and experience.
