Technical Quality of Acceptance Manager – Merchant Acceptance (Mexico & Caribbean)
Hybrid - Remote/London Hammersmith or Farnborough
Role Overview:
As a Technical Quality of Acceptance (TQA) Manager, you will lead technical acceptance enablement activities across Mexico and the Caribbean, ensuring seamless payment experiences for merchants. Using data-driven insights and root cause analysis, you will drive resolution strategies and collaborate with specialized teams to improve acceptance performance.
You’ll be the go-to expert for all technical acceptance matters in your assigned region, providing critical updates to leadership and key stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of the payment ecosystem, particularly from a scheme or acquiring background, to identify and resolve checkout issues across POS terminals and e-commerce platforms.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Technical Acceptance – Lead initiatives to enhance acceptance rates, troubleshoot payment issues, and optimize transaction performance.
- Stakeholder Management – Act as the trusted technical advisor for internal teams, partners, and merchants, ensuring smooth resolution of acceptance challenges.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis – Utilize data tools to identify trends, analyze root causes, and implement effective remediation strategies.
- Market Expansion Support – Collaborate with business development teams to grow acceptance in targeted markets.
- Testing & Remediation – Support market testing activities and oversee remediation efforts to improve payment acceptance.
- Reporting & Insights – Provide clear, concise updates and reports tailored to different levels of management.
- Process Optimization – Ensure best practices, documentation, and compliance with auditing requirements.
What You Bring:
- Extensive experience in the payments industry, ideally from a scheme or acquiring background.
- Proven track record in managing card acceptance and technical remediation from an operational perspective.
- Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel, trend analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Natural relationship builder with the ability to navigate complex business environments.
Preferred:
- Fluency in Spanish to effectively support regional operations.
