We are an established and growing food manufacturing business supplying high-quality products to major retailers and foodservice partners. With a strong commitment to food safety, quality, and innovation, we are now looking for an experienced Technical / Quality Lead to take ownership of our quality systems and drive continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

As the Technical / Quality Lead, you will oversee all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance. You'll ensure our operations meet the highest standards under BRC, HACCP, and customer requirements. Working closely with production and senior management, you'll be a key driver of best practice, ensuring our products are consistently safe, compliant, and of the highest quality.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their technical career or move into a more autonomous position within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain all site quality and food safety systems, ensuring BRC, HACCP, and retailer compliance.
  • Act as the technical contact for customer audits and queries.
  • Manage and support the QA team to maintain standards and improve performance.
  • Monitor quality performance, investigate non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production to embed a culture of food safety and quality ownership.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and reporting across all technical systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
About You
  • Proven experience in a Technical or Quality leadership role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of BRC, HACCP, and customer technical standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and detail-focused, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualification in food science, food safety, or a related discipline (HACCP Level 4 desirable)
