Job Description
- Ensure consistent delivery of food safety and quality standards that align with the brand's reputation and expectations
- Conduct and document daily tasting panels, analyzing and reporting results accurately
- Execute internal audits in accordance with the established audit schedule, ensuring thorough compliance checks
- Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and ensure daily adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) across all operations
- Oversee and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality performance through active monitoring and feedback
- Support the implementation of training programs focused on food safety, health and safety, and operational best practices at the Central Production Unit (CPU) and warehouse
- Manage the quality control of incoming ingredients and materials into the CPU and warehouse
- Contributed to the preparation and facilitation of BRC audits, as well as other internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain effective relationships with third-party laboratories and service providers to ensure reliable support and testing services
The Successful Applicant
A successful Technical & QA Assistant should have:
- A strong educational background in a relevant technical, science or engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with quality assurance / quality control principles within food manufacturing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Skilled in micro testing and various line swap testing procedures.
- Experience in the retail or manufacturing industries would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in using QA tools and software.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
