Contract Duration: 12 Months
IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Company Overview:

We are working with a market-leading company in the marine/maritime sector, seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support projects across multiple sites in the Humber region. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Role Overview:

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and integration of civil design elements, working closely with designers and ensuring project requirements are met. The role requires regular site visits and liaising with clients to resolve technical queries. While previous maritime experience is advantageous, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the primary liaison between the design team, contractors, and client, ensuring smooth project execution.
  2. Coordinate and review civil design elements, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  3. Attend site visits across Immingham, Hull, and Grimsby as required, providing technical oversight and problem-solving support.
  4. Manage and respond to technical queries from the client, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  5. Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met in line with project schedules.
  6. Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout project delivery.
  7. Work closely with stakeholders to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in a Technical Project Manager or similar role within civil engineering.
  2. Strong design understanding of civil and structural engineering principles.
  3. Experience coordinating with design teams and managing technical queries.
  4. Ability to visit multiple sites across the Humber region as required.
  5. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  6. Maritime sector experience is beneficial but not essential.

Contract Details:

  1. Duration: 12-month contract.
  2. IR35 Status: Outside IR35.
  3. Location: Flexible between site visits and remote working as required.
