Salary from £48,679 to £57,000 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £60,730 pa inclusive of London allowance

(Salaries are inclusive of a market supplement of £6,000 pa which is periodically reviewed)

The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences. Our Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 14,000 staff and student users.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-quality technology solutions to the School. They will work with colleagues across the LSE in the effective delivery of projects to scope, quality and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical project management on projects, from inception through to service transition.
  • Making decisions regarding project organisation and approach to delivery and issue resolution.
  • Designing and implementing high-quality solutions for our School
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the School to deliver large-scale projects
  • Effectively managing projects and work-packages within scope, quality, and budget
  • Driving quality and meeting deadlines consistently

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience of running projects using waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate using appropriate styles, methods, and timing, including digital channels, to maximise understanding and impact
  • Experience of facilitating sessions from groups of customers to understand concerns and issues
  • Demonstrable customer-focused attitude
