Job Description

The Role

You will work on a variety of client projects across different sectors, either introducing new technologies and software from scratch or upgrading existing solutions. You will collaborate with a team of experts supporting the solution, development, and management of technical solutions for Talan's clients. This is an exciting opportunity central to delivering and managing the right technical solutions in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Accountable for delivering and implementing digital products and services as part of the Digital Transformation project and programme portfolio.
  2. Work independently or with other specialists such as developers, Solution Architects, Enterprise Consultants, and Project Managers to deliver innovative solutions.
  3. Manage the full project delivery lifecycle, including:
  4. Supporting development of project estimates for new bids.
  5. Developing and implementing project management strategies tailored to client needs.
  6. Designing, transitioning, operating, and improving services and technology.
  7. Leading project planning, scheduling, controlling, and reporting.
  8. Managing risks and ensuring solutions are implemented in line with change control processes.
  9. Providing full project reports on progress, budget, and quality.
  10. Supporting workstream leads and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  11. Reviewing performance and implementing corrective actions for critical projects.
  12. Driving lessons learned, outputs, and feedback for continuous improvement.
  13. Sharing knowledge through sessions to support growth and improve working methods.
  14. Building strong stakeholder relationships and managing expectations.
  15. Ensuring project benefits are realized post-implementation.
  16. Supporting business development, including bids and proposals.
  17. Identifying opportunities for service expansion and collaborating with business development teams.
  18. Designing and implementing product and technical solutions.
  19. Qualifications include Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent, familiarity with ITIL or TOGAF, and experience with Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  20. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a consultancy or digitally enabled business.
  21. Knowledge of the UK energy market, including business, data architecture, and regulatory processes, is advantageous.
