Job summary

SoCode Recruitment partners with a Cambridgeshire technology company to recruit a Technical Project Manager. The role sits between engineering, operations and external vendors, owning projects from scope to completion with a focus on continuous improvement and capital investment programmes.

You will manage delivery across the operations function, develop scope and timelines, maintain plans and risk registers, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience managing technical projects.
• Technical background in engineering or manufacturing.
• Hands-on Agile delivery experience.
• Clear and confident communication with diverse audiences.
• Strong organisation and planning with attention to detail.
• Proven stakeholder management delivering on time and on budget.
• Degree in Engineering, Science or related technical discipline.
• Nice to have PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certifications.
• Exposure to CAPEX or continuous improvement programmes.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end delivery of technical projects across the operations function.
• Defining project scope, goals, timelines and deliverables with input from key stakeholders.
• Maintaining project plans, risk registers, resource requirements and financial forecasts.
• Acting as the main point of contact for projects and keeping stakeholders updated.
• Championing technical documentation and robust engineering change control.
• Working with engineering teams to define solutions and ensure standards are followed.
• Introducing Agile ways of working within a traditional waterfall environment.
• Identifying and managing risks and issues before they impact delivery.
• Coordinating with third-party vendors and suppliers where required.
• Driving continuous improvement in how projects are run across the business.

Socode are partnering with a Cambridgeshire-based technology company developing advanced industrial systems used in high-performance manufacturing environments. As the business moves into its next phase of growth, they’re looking to bring in a Technical Project Manager to lead delivery of complex technology projects across their operations function.

This is a hands-on delivery role sitting between engineering, operations and external vendors. You’ll own projects from scope through to completion, with a focus on continuous improvement and capital investment programmes. You’ll make sure every project lands on time, within scope and within budget.

What will you be doing?

• Managing end-to-end delivery of technical projects across the operations function
