Job description

Technical Project & Implementation Manager
  • Location: Remote
  • Contract Type: 9-Month FTC
  • Start Date: ASAP
About RTN Mental Health

At RTN Mental Health, we’re on a mission to transform the way neurodevelopmental and primary care mental health services are delivered across the UK. As a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation, we combine clinical excellence with commercial innovation to deliver high-quality, person‑centred care.

From NHS partnerships to private services, we’re redefining what accessible, ethical and effective mental health support can look like, and building clinical pathways that are robust, evidence‑based and genuinely life‑changing.

Our values sit at the heart of everything we do:

Respect at our core, transformation in our actions, nurture in our care.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Technical Project & Implementation Manager to lead a critical programme of digital transformation across RTN Mental Health. This is a high‑impact role focused on strengthening our digital infrastructure, improving compliance, and implementing core operational systems that support safe, effective and scalable service delivery. Working closely with the Director of Digital and Technology, you will play a central role in moving the organisation from siloed, manual ways of working to a secure, compliant and integrated digital environment.

You will lead the delivery of key priorities including DSPT compliance, the implementation and optimisation of core clinical and business systems, the transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, and the migration of unmanaged data into secure, version‑controlled platforms.

This role will suit someone who combines strong project delivery skills with a practical, hands‑on approach. You will be confident working across technical, operational and non‑technical teams, bringing clarity, structure and momentum to complex change.

Above all, you will help build the systems, processes and governance needed to support a growing healthcare organisation, while ensuring change is delivered in a way that is collaborative, well‑documented and supportive for staff.

Role Responsibilities
DSPT Compliance & Information Governance
  • Lead the project to achieve compliance with 172+ mandatory NHS DSPT Category 2 controls
  • Track, manage and coordinate compliance actions to support contract continuity
  • Identify infrastructure and governance gaps and drive remediation activity
  • Support the development of a secure, compliant and well‑controlled digital environment
System Implementation & Digital Transformation
  • Lead the configuration and rollout of key systems, including Medicus, CRM and finance platforms
  • Manage the transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, including the implementation of SharePoint
  • Support data and system migration activities to improve efficiency, control and usability
  • Ensure systems are implemented in a way that is practical, sustainable and aligned to organisational needs
Data Governance & Process Improvement
  • Reduce reliance on unmanaged spreadsheets and manual workarounds
  • Lead the migration of critical information from Google Sheets into secure, structured systems
  • Improve data handling, version control and day‑to‑day operational workflows
  • Help create a more efficient and resilient digital foundation across the organisation
  • Work alongside the Director of Digital and Technology to manage external MSP and vendor relationships
  • Monitor delivery against technical requirements and expected standards
  • Support oversight of third‑party services to ensure they meet business, compliance and clinical safety needs
  • Escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution where required
Documentation, Training & Change Support
  • Develop clear documentation, SOPs and repeatable processes to reduce reliance on undocumented knowledge
  • Support staff training and adoption of new systems and processes
  • Communicate change clearly and effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Help create confidence and capability across teams as new ways of working are embedded
Project Delivery & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Drive delivery in a fast‑paced, turnaround‑style environment with multiple priorities
  • Maintain oversight of timelines, dependencies, risks and actions across several workstreams
  • Collaborate effectively across operational, technical and clinical functions
  • Take ownership of delivery outcomes and identify smarter ways to move work forward
About You
  • Proven track record in rapid IT project delivery or turnaround environments
  • Strong understanding of DSPT or NHS information governance and compliance requirements
  • Excellent project coordination and organisational skills
  • Strong data management and process improvement capability
  • Ability to track complex workstreams with precision and follow‑through
  • Confident working across technical and non‑technical teams
  • Highly accountable, proactive and solutions‑focused
  • Able to bring structure and clarity to complex operational challenges
  • Experience implementing CRMs, ERPs or patient record systems such as Medicus
  • Experience managing migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 / SharePoint
  • Experience within a healthcare, clinical or regulated environment
  • Experience managing or auditing MSP performance
  • PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent project management certification
  • Information security qualifications or exposure to standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Experience delivering training or supporting system adoption across teams
  • Comfortable being hands‑on with system configuration where needed
