Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Project Coordinator to support an Offshore Directorate portfolio in Scotland, coordinating activities, project controls and ensuring safe, efficient delivery.

You will work with Project Engineering to manage accounts, organise meetings, and handle reporting and financial processes while adapting to changing priorities and timelines.

Qualifications

• Project experience in a similar industry with stakeholder management.
• Administration experience with deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to adapt and re-prioritise workload.
• Experience in managing project finances.
• Qualification or experience in an Engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Engineering to support delivery of major projects across Scotland, manage project accounts and supplier payments.
• Plan and record Project Engineering meetings (Design Reviews, Design Risk Workshops, Progress meetings) and ensure timely, high-quality minutes and reports.
• Coordinate technical tasks like Utility Searches and Symology requests, ensuring timelines and data accuracy.
• Monitor CDM compliance reviews and assist with general engineering admin duties.
• Create and manage the financial lifecycle of requisitions and purchase orders.

Salary: £36,139 - £43,188 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role
As SSEN Transmission continues to deliver an ambitious portfolio of offshore infrastructure projects, we're looking for a Project Coordinator to join our growing Offshore Directorate. You'll play a key role in coordinating activities, maintaining project controls, and helping to ensure our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
You will

• Work closely with our Project Engineering team to assist in the successful delivery of several major projects across Scotland; managing the project accounts, raising purchase orders, making sure suppliers are paid on time and dealing with external supplier queries.
• Coordinate and prepare Project Engineering meetings, these will include Design Reviews, Design Risk Workshops and Engineering Team Progress meetings. Making sure these are scheduled, attended and minutes are recorded to a high quality. Organising all project reporting, making sure reports are produced on time and to a high-quality standard.
• Coordinate technical tasks, such as assisting the Engineers with Utility Searches and managing Symology requests, making sure that all timelines are met, and the data is accurately processed.
• Coordinate CDM Compliance Reviews for the Engineering team and assisting the Engineering team with general administration duties.
• Create and manage the financial lifecycle of requisitions and POs.

You have

• Project experience working in a similar industry and proven ability to manage different stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting priorities.
• Vast experience in an administration role demonstrating the ability to prioritise tasks and work in the most effective way to meet deadlines.
• The ability to manage your workload and being flexible to deal with change.
• Experience in managing project finances would be very beneficial.
• A qualification or experience of working in an Engineering role or for an Engineering company.
