Job Description

Technical Programme/Project Manager - Derivatives responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver technical programmes and projects related to derivatives within Capital Markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Responsible for Pre and Post trade technical projects.
  • Overview of technology and understand front office function including Front to Back flows.
  • Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on project status and milestones.
  • Lead and mentor project teams to foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Ensure the successful integration of technical solutions into the organisation's operational framework.
  • Utilise project management tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Programme/Project Manager - Derivatives should have:

  • Proven experience in managing projects or programmes within the Capital Markets, specifically in derivatives.
  • The individual will be responsible to set up and manage the IT Working Group with management and key SMEs, including drafting a Terms of Reference, developing a Working Group plan with key deliverables and milestones, and monitoring progress against plan.
  • The individual will be responsible for managing the key deliverables in the Design & Plan phase of the programme, namely, IT deliverables resulting from various other workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and financial regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving project goals effectively.
