Job summary

Rivan Industries in London is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own a complete sub-system, from concept to manufacture. You will lead design, testing, and integration for modules such as reactors or DAC, collaborating with workshops and vendors.

Significant relocation support is offered and visa sponsorship is available. Role requires 5+ years’ experience, a mechanical/aero degree, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks), and hands-on fabrication with thermofluids, CFD/FEA and Python for modelling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical/aero or related field.
• System design with CAD (SolidWorks), DFM/DFMA, part spec and procurement.
• Hands-on workshop fabrication and build experience.
• Fundamental thermofluids including pressure loss and heat/mass transfer.
• Simulation/analytical modelling (Python, FEA, CFD).
• Test setup design, running experiments and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and manufacture of an entire sub-system for the Rivan platform.
• Lead concept generation, architecture, and technical requirements capture.
• Design test rigs to validate hypotheses quickly and cheaply.
• Iterate design drawings with the fabrication workshop.
• Own assembly, integration, commissioning and test plans.
• Liaise with external vendors to support production line.

The role

Own the design and manufacture of an entire Rivan sub-systemThis role can be across any of our modules, be it reactor, electrolyser and DAC.

• Own the concept generation, architecting and technical requirements capture

Core skills
