Up to £120k + Bonus & Benefits
This role suits an eloquent communicator with the gravitas to guide stakeholders, shift culture, and drive strategic alignment—especially those who’ve participated in a Workday Customer Advisory Board, AI Board, Design Partner Group, or directly influenced Workday’s product roadmap.
Job Summary:
The Senior Programme Manager role is pivotal for the transformation and migration of our core Human Capital Management (HCM) system, Workday, towards a more Cloud-centric model. This role primarily involves guiding, managing, and driving the transition, necessitating close collaboration with high-level stakeholders, the HR leadership group, and service providers. The successful candidate will be proficient in handling complex organizational design, system, or process enhancement, and change initiatives, with a particular emphasis on Cloud, SaaS products, and API strategies. This role demands deep knowledge of the Workday system, strong program management skills, superior communication, leadership, and delegation skills.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the transition to a Cloud-centric model and SaaS products.
- Deep understanding of Workday, a leading HCM system.
- Experience with comprehensive rollouts of Workday modules (HCM, HR, Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll Solution, etc.)
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage large-scale transformation programs, handle stakeholder relationships, and lead change management initiatives.
- Experience participating in steering committees, change boards, and other governance panels.
- Proficient at working well with diverse stakeholders with varying priorities and interests.
- Experience with international HRIS transformation management in both private and public sectors is a plus.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in defining and implementing technical deployments, including integrations, data migration, testing methodologies, transition strategies, and the establishment of product support teams.
- Deep understanding of the Workday ecosystem and its adaptation to a Cloud-centric model.
- Demonstrated experience with Workday modules and features.
- Understanding and experience in developing and implementing API strategies.
- Ability to handle potential data migration issues that may arise during Workday enhancements.
- Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting processes in Workday.
- Understanding of how to ensure enhancements do not disrupt existing workflows or integrations within Workday.
- Experience in moving towards more product-aligned teams.
- Ability to implement significant changes in HR systems, particularly in transitioning to Workday.
- Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder management in complex HR technology transformation projects.
- Proficient in using methodologies to manage HR transformation programs, with a focus on Cloud-based strategies.
- Experience in developing and executing strategies and roadmaps for HR technology improvement programmes, with a focus on SaaS and Cloud strategies.
- Ability to identify the need for Workday enhancements and implement them effectively.
- Proven track record of prioritizing enhancements within Workday, considering business needs and constraints.
- Experience in using Workday enhancements to drive business value or increase operational efficiency, with a focus on Cloud and SaaS products.
- Ability to involve stakeholders in the decision-making process for Workday enhancements, specifically as it relates to Cloud-based solutions and SaaS products.
