About the Team

The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable. The infrastructure team builds and operates hyper-scale datacenters, as well as a large network of edge POPs around the world, hosting infrastructure services including widely distributed Content Distribution Networks (CDNs). We are actively investing in sourcing multi public cloud vendors for our edge expansion. We are seeking experienced Technical Program Managers to build the enterprise-level multi cloud infrastructure platforms to serve Bytedance products, on top of which developers can easily deploy and manage their applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the creation of the Build and Maintenance Plans for all global Bytedance PoPs.
2. Work on operational issues including RMA and repairs for all network and server equipment.
3. Drive and manage multiple projects around optimizing PoP build outs, improving documentation and building new tools.
4. Design and deliver large-scale network projects composed of dark fiber, leased waves, IP transit and peering circuits, colo space, power, cross connects, point of presence and content delivery networks build.
5. Work on optimizing operational processes and designing more efficient workflows.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in network infrastructure space, related to solutions and/or project management experience in CDN and/or telecom-related fields.
2. Proven experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
3. Technical experience in telecommunication networks including Fixed Network, Transmission and IP Technologies (IPT, IX, Peering).

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering or any equivalent technical field with relevant work experience.
2. Minimum 3+ years of experience in edge infrastructure related fields.
3. Knowledge of co-location infrastructure including facilities, site selection, operations.
