The Role

As a Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for end-to-end accountability for delivery across technology products and where needed across Business units. In this role you will also manage business product owners and other stakeholders, to ensure overall delivery of new technical products and features.

Technology Stack - .Net Core, SQL, Azure PaaS, Android, iOS and SaaS services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, plan and coordinate the set of changes to a product domain to maximize value delivered to the customer, including management of commercial activity and changing priorities and features.
  • Provide a point of escalation for individual features within change initiatives.
  • Manage the approach and the interdependencies of delivery of those initiatives in support of specific business strategies to ensure that Business interests are protected, and requirements met.
  • Be accountable for delivery of initiatives (technology, processes, people) as assigned, including articulation and realisation of benefits, and slippages/changes against original benefit expectations.
  • Accountable for planning and monitoring the portfolio of change; agree plans with senior business stakeholders and report on change status.
  • Accountable for managing risks, issues, and change, escalating & proposing possible solutions where necessary.
  • Full financial responsibility for spend, including establishing budgets, monitoring spend and re forecasting on a regular basis to highlight issues.
  • Responsible for coordinating activities and dependencies within the technical product domain and identifying external dependencies on other changes, resource or environments.
  • Responsible for forming and managing effective relationships with business stakeholders and matrix management of business resources in support of delivery where appropriate.
  • Educates stakeholders in Agile ways of working and iterative software delivery.

Your Profile

Key Skills/ Knowledge/Experience

  • Professional across enterprise product delivery with excellent knowledge of the best engineering practices in a commercial environment.
  • Operates within agreed quality and release cadence parameters, meeting key Product milestone KPIs (agile).
  • Has sufficient credibility and gravitas, and ability to work with and relate to a highly demanding internal client base. Appreciation of how the architecture, policies and governance are applied to delivery of the programme.
  • Proven experience of empowering, enabling, supporting and motivating product teams.
  • Proficient understanding of Tech Stack - .Net Core, SQL, Azure PaaS and SaaS services.
  • Experience in Delivering Mobile based App (Android & iOS).
  • Proven strategic partner experience with product direction, strategic enhancement, beta product testing or industry events preferred.
  • Daily experience of JIRA and confluence and automated testing and release management tools is preferred.
  • A recognized project and programme management methodology. E.g. SoS , Kanban, SAFe.
  • Experience of going through the transformation from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.
