Burns Sheehan is partnering with an early-stage AI-enabled product team to hire a Technical Product Manager with a strong engineering background. The role focuses on building rigorous quality standards and guiding testing, measurement, and improvements across the product.

You will own issues, translate messy feedback into crisp problems, and drive features from problem to delivery in close collaboration with the Lead PM, engineering, customer success and founders.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of ownership in product management.
• Engineering background is essential.
• Uses AI tools daily to inform decision making (Claude Code preferred).

Responsibilities

Technical Product Manager (ex Engineer) | £85,000-£95,000+ equity

Are you a Technical Product Manager with an engineering background, who lives and breathes AI tools, cares deeply about product quality, and wants to be close to real customers and real problems from day one?

If so, this one's worth a look.

This is an early-stage business building an AI product that takes the operational grind out of a traditionally manual, high-complexity industry. This isn't a company that's dabbling in AI - it's built around it. The team is lean, the product is live, customers are converting and a major enterprise pilot is weeks away.

They're now hiring a Technical Product Manager to set and hold the quality bar across the product - building out how the team tests, measures, and improves what the product does, alongside owning issues, synthesising customer feedback, and driving features from problem to delivery. It's a broad role with genuine scope, working directly alongside the Lead PM, engineering, customer success and the founders.

What they're looking for

• A Product Manager with genuine ownership experience and a track record of excellence
• An engineering background is essential
• Someone who uses AI tools every day as a natural part of how they work - ideally Claude Code
• A sharp eye for product quality, backed by a structured and analytical approach to diagnosing what's going wrong and why
• Comfortable being close to customers, translating messy feedback into clear problems the team can act on
• High ownership, honest, clear communicator and genuinely energised by early-stage pace
• Experience with AI evaluations, model testing or product QA would be a real plus
