Job description

Technical Product Lead (Electronics)

Location: Chester (applicants to be within 1h of site)
Type: Permanent
Salary: upto £65,000 DOE
Hours: Monday- Fridays (hybrid on ad hoc basis i.e. some weeks 0 days, some weeks 3-5 days)

Additional:

• Holidays: 25 days of annual leave (FTE), plus bank holidays, with an extra day for every three years completed (up to a maximum of 30 days). Ability to buy an additional 5 days

The Role:

• Leading the full lifecycle development of electronic elements of products, including analogue and digital electronics
• Designing, analysing, validating and verifying the electronic aspects of products, ensuring they meet the latest regulatory standards (e.g., EMC, LVD, CE, UKCA)
• Producing high-quality technical documentation and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the successful delivery of products
• Taking ownership of projects, driving quality and process improvements as the scale of product deployment increases


The Person:

• Will hold a degree in a relevant engineering field
• Experience working within the Electronic Engineering field in a testing capacity or design
• A strong track record of designing products that meet regulatory requirements including documentation support
• Experience in full product lifecycle management from specification to manufacturing and deployment
• Ability to lead and manage projects including overseeing teams of engineers
• Experience with firmware development (C, C++) and python for test scripts
• Experience managing projects and leading cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of the electricity industry or control room applications would be advantageous
• Strong leadership skills & interpersonal skills
