We’re FuturLab, the award-winning game studio behind PowerWash Simulator, the Velocity series, Peaky Blinders Mastermind, and many more awesome games.

We are looking to hire a Technical Producer to oversee the work of our core and technical teams on PowerWash Simulator 2. The successful candidate will join the production team, creating and tracking tasks, organizing teams to ensure timely delivery of fixes and features for both the base game and updates. They will work with a big-picture view across the project and keep key stakeholders updated on progress.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management & Planning: Work closely with programmers, designers, and artists to define technical milestones, estimate resources, and prioritize work based on project needs.
  2. Sprint & Roadmap Coordination: Manage sprint cycles, track tasks, and ensure team alignment on goals and deadlines.
  3. Technical Pipeline Optimization: Oversee and facilitate improvements to development pipelines, build processes, and tooling.
  4. Cross-Team Communication: Act as a bridge between engineering and creative teams, ensuring clear expectations and documentation for technical features.
  5. Risk Assessment & Problem Solving: Identify technical risks early and work with teams to mitigate potential roadblocks.
  6. Team Capacity & Resource Management: Monitor team bandwidth, identify skill gaps, and collaborate with leadership to meet project demands.
  7. QA & Build Management Support: Ensure smooth build deployments, coordinate with QA, and help maintain game stability.
  8. Live Ops & Post-Launch Support: Plan patches, updates, and ongoing technical support for PWS2.
  9. Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and improvements to leadership and teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  1. Run standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives with the PWS2 tech and FuturLab’s Core Tech teams.
  2. Collaborate with tech leads and the Senior Producer to ensure realistic timelines.
  3. Manage Jira to track progress and adjust task priorities.
  4. Communicate with designers and artists about technical constraints and solutions.
  5. Coordinate with QA to ensure builds are functional and issues are logged and triaged.
  6. Review and refine workflows for efficiency.
  7. Prioritize and manage tech debt while maintaining production flow.
  8. Work with external partners or middleware providers if needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Technical Producer, Technical Project Manager, or similar in the games industry.
  • Experience shipping multiplatform games (PC, console, mobile) with understanding of platform-specific requirements.
  • Success managing live services, including updates, patches, and post-launch support.
  • Strong technical knowledge of game development pipelines (programming, art, QA).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello).
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, art, design, and QA teams.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce) and build pipelines.
  • Hands-on with Unity.
  • Familiarity with backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, PlayFab).
  • Experience working with external partners or third-party services.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices or release management.
  • Understanding of data analytics and telemetry for production decisions.
