We are seeking a Full-Time Technical Planning Engineer. As a Technical Planner, you will support aircraft maintenance operations by ensuring all work packs are accurately created, compliant with regulations, and optimally sequenced to meet delivery targets. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and planning teams to support pre-input activities, manage project timelines, and ensure efficient resource use.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure work packs are raised and effectively sequenced to meet delivery targets, with tasks staged appropriately for complex and critical maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with production planning and facility capacity management.
  • Manage the ‘pre-input’ process, including organizing meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Chair daily status and ship-side meetings with Aircraft Managers.
  • Create project plans for maintenance inputs, identifying key sequences, milestones, and critical tasks.
  • Update project timelines to reflect progress and forecast skill requirements.
  • Identify all work order requirements and maintain task templates for pre-load, maintenance data, spares, and tooling.
  • Update man-hour targets in templates and work packs based on performance and maintenance needs.
  • Review systems and procedures to improve aircraft downtimes.
  • Liaise with third-party companies, OEMs, and working groups to agree on technical solutions.
  • Provide status updates and project approvals to the customer, including cost overviews.
  • Support aircraft maintenance tasks, including repairs, modifications, queries, tooling, and specialized information.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet project targets related to profitability, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Technical Services Manager.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Minimum ‘A’ level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, production planning, or airline environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and produce technical texts and drawings.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations (EASA) and technical support experience in aviation.
  • Product knowledge of Bombardier Series aircraft.
  • Commercial awareness and decision-making skills based on engineering standards.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork orientation.
