Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive aftermarket or a background in automotive required.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Parts Advisor to join Ferdinand Bilstein UK Ltd based at our state-of-the-art facility at Markham Vale, Chesterfield.

The role will provide an efficient and effective support service to our customers and beyond, which enhances their understanding, builds relationships and ultimately increases sales. The role will support the internal and external sales team by providing customers with car & truck (HGV) technical support, ensuring all incoming calls are handled in a professional and efficient manner.

The role

• Answer incoming calls in line with agreed service standards
• Provide customers with information about part options or variations as required
• Provide remote technical support to help customers resolve problems via appropriate diagnostic processes
• Support customers to identify the correct part for their application via electronic catalogues and internal databases
• Handle cross referencing queries from the Technical Helplines and from within the team
• Liaise with Product Managers over product technical issues to bring about rapid resolutions
• Investigate customer queries regarding application, fitting and operation of supplied parts
• Investigate customer queries relating to part numbers, technical problems etc.
• Advise on pre -sale customer enquiries

Skills and Experience

• Car Technical knowledge and understanding of vehicles and parts
• Excellent and verbal and written communication
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications
• Communicate confidently to colleagues and customers
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Experience of working in the automotive aftermarket or an automotive background is required
